Thursday, March 9th

We were lucky to welcome Miss Kat from the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation today! She taught us all about skunks! Did you know that if you get sprayed by a skunk you should have a bath with dish soap and baking soda?! It is apparently the best way to get the smell away!

We did a funny dance like "Head & Shoulders, Knees & Toes" but with skunk parts. Ask me to sing it to you! (Claws, Teeth, Fur, & Tails, Stinky Spray)

The AIWC will be back on March 15th to teach us more about Owls! If you have not yet paid for the guest speaker ($8.52 for both presentations) please pay online as soon as possible!

This week we have also be discussing what is "Expected and Unexpected" behaviour in the classroom. We read a book called "Howard B. Wigglebottom Learns to Listen". Howard was showing unexpected behaviour in the beginning when he wouldn't listen to his parents, his teacher, or even his friends. Ask your child how Howard changed in the end.

The Howard B. Wigglebottom website is a great place to visit! https://wedolisten.org
