Today we worked on our silhouette art. Last week
we created a colour grade to represent the background of our art. Students
experimented with a colour of their choice, lightening the colour with white
paint, and darkened their colour with black paint. Next, students chose a local
woodlands animal to create a black silhouette against their background colour
scheme. They are turning our beautifully.
Tomorrow, February 9 we will be heading to the
wetlands on an animal track adventure. Please make sure your child is dressed
for the weather. It is supposed to warm up by Thursday, however if the wind-chill
is taking the temperature below -19C we will not be going. We still need
volunteers so if you would like to come along on our walk, please sign up via
the online volunteer sign up (Mrs. Daniels class) or contact Ms. Barley
directly via email (email link at bottom of blog)
Note: if we do not have 2 volunteers per class,
we will not be going.
Tomorrow is the last day for inline skating.
Students should wear comfy clothing and can bring their own approved helmet on
their skating days.
