Today in Math we read “The Napping House.”
Students were then presented the problem: “How many feet were in the napping
house?” We had some creative and
impressive solutions:

Yesterday we read the story “Ordinary Mary’s
Extraordinary Good Deed”
The story is a fantastic way to reinforce the importance of kindness, doing good deeds and how one act of kindness can go a long, long
way. Throughout the month of February Mrs. Barley’s and Mrs. Daniel’s classes
are taking part in a “kindness challenge” Each day we will write kindness notes
to one student in each class to show friendship and appreciation for each other. Look for your child’s kindness bag, which
will be coming home any day in the next couple of weeks.
This Thursday February 9 we will be heading to
the wetlands on an animal track adventure.
Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather. It is supposed
to warm up by Thursday, however if the wind-chill is taking the temperature
below -19C we will not be going. If you would like to come along on our walk,
please sign up via the online volunteer sign up (Mrs. Daniels class) or contact
Ms. Barley directly via email (email link at bottom of blog)
Our Alien In-Line Schedule is as follows.
Students should wear comfy clothing and can bring their own approved helmet on
their skating days.
