Tuesday, November 1st

Today is the start of a new month! There are many exciting things happening in November. Please check out the "Dates to Remember" below!

In Math today we looked at comparing the attributes of two shapes. We looked at 2 things that were similar and 2 things that were different. Ask me which attributes I used to describe my shapes.

In our journals we wrote about last night. We are beginning to write longer sentences, with added details. We are also working on remembering to use lowercase letters and put finger spaces between each word.

In gym, we learned some Bollywood and Latin dance moves! Ask me to show you!

Reminder: On Thursday, Ms. Percival's "Who keeps us safe" Inquiry group is going to visit the Royal Oak firehall. Ms. MacDonald's Inquiry group will also visit the firehall but on Monday, Nov. 7th. If your student is in either of these groups they will be bringing home an orange notice about the trip. There is no cost to the trip and there are no field trip permission forms required as it is within close proximity to the school.

*** If you have a note about the level, please place it in the folder, not in the book bag as the volunteers are exchanging the books and we may not see it.

Circle of Courage: Spotlight Students this week (Nov. 4th) are: Kylea & Kathleen
Each week one student per class will bring home a sheet of paper describing the circle of courage. We ask that on Friday of your child’s week that he or she brings in something that shows one of the following sections of the circle: Independence, Mastery, Belonging, and Generosity.  See below for what the letter will look like.
